A lot has been going on in my life this year already, so it’s been some time since I’ve posted an update. I am hopeful that it will change now that things are starting to calm down for me.
I have some big plans for this year; some big, yet necessary changes. With everything I’ve had going on in my personal life, my writing/author career has been pushed to the side, and I don’t like it. Writing has always been my passion, my happy place, and I want that back.
It’s been over a year since I’ve published anything, and I’ve lost so many readers because of it. I’ve lost momentum, and that hurts because I found so much joy in connecting with people over my stories. Thankfully, I have a plan to rectify all of that!
Recently, I’ve been investing a lot of time and effort into rebranding and building my following while I work on my next project. It’s a lot of work and is taking a LOT of time and energy, but it’s definitely worth it. I have some of the best readers, readers I can actually call my friends, and I want to continue to build those relationships.
I will be restarting the weekly updates here on my blog, posting more on my social media pages, and making myself more present on social media overall. My goal is to publish at least 3 books this year, though I am definitely hoping for more, and I am still working on both the Forest Hollow revamp as well as Not Part of the Deal (Deal Duet #2).
I am thinking about adding a section on my site for short stories/character add-ons: just a little extra about my characters and maybe occasionally checking in on them to see what they’ve been up to since their stories ended. But that’s a little further down the line. It’s something I’ve been toying with, though.
So, as you can see, I’ve got a lot planned, some big adjustments and changes, but it will be worth it! I promise.

Now, for the WIP update:
Because my previous ones are doing so well, I’ve decided to do another short story/novella series to kick off my rebranding. My writing has changed so much since I began this journey, and my stories themselves have grown. It’s only fair that my books start to reflect that change. (Which is why Forest Hollow is getting a revamp. As that was my first series, it is not the story I want it to be. Nor is it getting the attention it deserves. I’m fixing that!) They are ALL going to be darker and dirtier, as I am no longer holding myself back.
This is another 5-book series. Each book will focus on a different couple, but the series will have one overarching story. THERE WILL BE TRIGGERS!
I am currently 4 chapters into book one (having had to rewrite it multiple times so far due to it not coming out right) and halfway through outlining chapter 5, and it’s sitting at 18,975 words. I have the whole book plotted out; I just need to outline and write it.
I have a pretty good idea what’s going to happen in EACH book, and how the series is going to end, but I also know that can all change as the series itself gets written. So, I am only working on plotting/planning one book at a time.
I will be doing a WIP update every week with these posts, to keep myself accountable as well as to keep my readers updated on all the details!
Until next time, happy reading!
